Junior Achievement receives $11K Kids 'N Community Foundation grant
Junior Achievement of Eastern North Carolina has been selected to receive an $11,000 grant from Kids 'N Community Foundation of the Carolina Hurricanes. The grant will allow Junior Achievement to bring financial literacy programs to 20 classrooms.
Each class will receive five to seven classroom lessons presented by trained corporate and community volunteers, who will share their personal and professional experiences to make learning come to life.
"We appreciate the organization's continued efforts and are proud to support Junior Achievement programs that strive to better North Carolina's youth," says Doug Warf, the foundation's president.
Kids 'N Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization supporting educational and children's programs throughout the state of North Carolina.
"We are honored to have the support of the Carolina Hurricanes' Kids 'N Community Foundation as we strive to provide financial literacy programs to more students throughout eastern North Carolina," says Bebee Bason Lee, Junior Achievement's president.
