State campaign raises more than $1M for charities
The Greater North Carolina Area Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) raised a total of $1,352,463 during the 2011 CFC campaign. A total of 4,256 federal employees contributed to the campaign, with an average online pledge of $665.71.
The Combined Federal Campaign is made up of 56 counties in North Carolina and five counties in South Carolina, including the Greensboro and Raleigh areas. More than 1,360 approved charities received funding from federal employees throughout the fiscal year.
