Umstead receives chamber's Integrity in Business Award
The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary has been honored with the Integrity in Business Award by the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. An acknowledgement of the importance of community involvement and authenticity among reputable local businesses and rising companies alike, the award will be presented to The Umstead during the 28th annual Pinnacle Business Awards event May 22.
Held in conjunction with National Small Business Week, the luncheon and awards ceremony will take place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Raleigh Convention Center downtown.
"We are honored to have been recognized for our outstanding integrity," says Jim Beley, the hotel's general manager. "Through our vision and values, we emphasize respect, personal and professional growth, and happiness in the workplace. This ultimately translates into superior guest service and vendor and community relations."
The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce will present awards to some of the Triangle's most successful business executives during the annual event. Emerging companies, as well as companies that have exhibited a substantial history as an established business, will be recognized. Entrepreneurial businesses will receive awards for their staying power, business growth, community involvement and innovation, along with their steady growth and profitability throughout the past three years.
