Spring is the time for Easter egg hunts in the Triangle, and we’ve created this list of public events so that you can fill that need to capture a load of eggs!

Note that you will need to be early to these events, as the eggs go in a matter of minutes. If you’re five minutes late, you will likely miss the entire event.


Cary Easter Celebration

When: April 13, 2019, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Where: Fred G. Bond Park, Cary

Who:  Children and Family


This is a full blown festival, with Easter bunny, bounce houses, prizes, magic show and more. This event is free.


The egg hunt starts promptly at the spillway at noon.  


There is also a special needs egg hunt at noon at the Bond Park Community Center.

Spring Fling Adult Egg Hunt at Dix Park

When: April 13, 2019, 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Where: Dix Park, Raleigh

Who: Adults 21+


If you are an adult who wants to do the whole egg hunt thing, and have a serious party along the way, this is a great event for you. 15,000+ eggs, inflatables, and lawn games. Tickets are free, but you need to register to attend as space is limited.

Community Egg Hunt


When: April 13, 10:00 a.m.

Where: Swift Creek Baptist Church, 9300 Penny Road, Raleigh, NC 27606

Who: Children and Family


This is a free event. Come at 10:00 a.m. to join in for breakfast, crafts, fellowship and of course Easter eggs!

Adventure Landing Easter Egg Hunt

When: April 20, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Where: Adventure Landing, 3311 Capital Blvd., Raleigh

Who: Children and Family

Cost: $3 donation to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern NC
