Megan (Natasha Lyonne) is a model high school student — bright, popular, and dating the star football player. But when her parents suspect she might be gay, they send her to True Directions, a hilariously absurd conversion therapy camp run by the strict and ultra-traditional Mary Brown (Cathy Moriarty). There, Megan meets a rebellious group of fellow “trainees” and the confident, free-spirited Graham (Clea DuVall), who challenges everything Megan thought she knew about herself. A satirical, candy-colored cult classic, But I’m a Cheerleader is a sharp, heartfelt comedy about identity, self-acceptance, and the power of love.
